Watchdog obliges search engines to mark 12 misbehaving hostings
MOSCOW, Sep 26 (PRIME) -- The Russian communications service has uncovered 12 foreign hosting providers that must get localized, the authority said on Tuesday in a statement.
“The communications service has decided to apply measures of enforcement regarding 12 foreign providers of hosting by informing by search systems of Internet users of violation by the companies of the Russian law’s requirements,” the watchdog said.
The measures were taken regarding Amazon Web Services, Hetzner Online GmbH, Network Solutions, WPEngine, HostGator.com, Ionos, DreamHost, FastComet, GoDaddy.com, Bluehost, Kamatera, and DigitalOcean.
The authority in June added these provides to the companies that are to get localized, which stipulates opening of a local representative office or a firm, adding to their website of a feedback form, and registration of an account on the website of the communications service.
